Canine Connected Counseling operates under a fee-for-service business model. This provides us with the ability to truly customize client experiences within our practice to address their unique needs without the common limitations found with insurance companies.
Health insurance coverage and plans frequently change, which can disrupt continuity of care and cause additional stress. By not relying on insurance, Canine Connected Counseling provides stability and consistency throughout the entirety of a client’s mental health treatment.
Furthermore, integrating certified therapy animals into therapeutic treatment models requires additional time, preparation, and follow-up before and after appointments. Our rates reflect the expertise, training, and care required to implement animal-assisted therapy services into sessions ethically and effectively.

Financial Alternatives
Out-of-Network Reimbursement
Some insurance plans have out-of-network benefits that provide the client reimbursement directly for health-related services they paid for out-of-pocket. Canine Connected Counseling can provide you with a monthly superbill you would submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Call your insurance company to find out more information and see if your plan includes these benefits.

Mental health therapy appointments are Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) eligible services.
